Ceratizit brings cutting tool innovation to MACH

Ceratizit UK & Ireland’s stand at MACH 2024 was a major draw and must-see for anyone who attended the exhibition, the company has announced.

With a display of hundreds of cutting tools and innovations, Ceratizit’s full range of ToolSupply vending machines, industry specific cutting tool solutions as well as more than 40 engineers and technical experts on hand to speak to visitors and answer technical queries, this was their biggest and best stand to-date.

New to 2024, Ceratizit also showcased a selection of its bespoke customer workholdings. Designed and manufactured by the projects engineers at the tech centre, their workholdings are tailored to each customer’s specific machining needs and are optimised for use with clamping technology. Many customers, after learning about the bespoke workholding service offered by Ceratizit, placed orders for fixturing, and the Projects Engineers at the Tech Centre have been busy fulfilling those orders.

Whilst the cutting tool innovation was enough to keep many on Ceratizit UK & Ireland’s stand for hours, the free refreshments available tempted everyone else. With a fully staffed bar serving a selection of draft beers, cold drinks, speciality barista coffees, as well as hors d’oeuvres and nibbles, the engineers kept their guests well fuelled for the rest of the innovation of the show.

In addition to attracting large crowds of new customers, apprentices and those wanting technical advice, Ceratizit was visited by many long-time customers, familiar faces and old colleagues.

Those who visited the stand, and scanned their visit with one of the engineers, also received a thank you package sent directly from the UK warehouse. Exhibiting their next-day delivery guarantee on UK-stocked tooling, Ceratizit fulfilled thousands of next-day deliveries throughout the week.

To end the exhibition with a final flourish, Ceratizit ran a huge prize giveaway. With a Hope HB160 mountain bike worth more than £6,000 up for grabs, anyone who took advantage of Ceratizit’s MACH-exclusive tooling offer was automatically entered into this huge prize draw. The winner, Boyd Engineering in Armagh, was announced across Ceratizit’s social media channels on 26th April. Moreover, for every entry into the prize draw, Ceratizit donated £10 each to their chosen charities, The British Heart Foundation and Cancer Research UK, bringing the total raised from company events to £89,662.

Tony Pennington, managing director of Ceratizit UK & Ireland, commented: “It was brilliant to be back at MACH, and this this we were official sponsors of the exhibition as well! We had a huge number of visitors, particularly through the middle of the week, and want to thank everyone who visited the stand, spoke to one of our engineers and placed tooling orders. We went through 30 barrels of beer and more than 2,200 Ceratizit teddy bears, so those numbers alone tell you just how many visitors we had! As usual, the whole Ceratizit UK & Ireland team worked hard throughout the week to make it such a memorable event for customers and visitors. We’re always keen to showcase the unbeatable technical support that comes from buying our cutting tools, and nothing says it better than having 1-1 conversations with the engineers on the stand.”
