What will the future look like? The World Economic Forum (WEF) surveyed over 800 experts and executives to find out the technology tipping points we will reach by 2030, including robotics and 3D printing.

WEF, based in Switzerland, was founded in 1971 as a not-for-profit organisation. Its mission is cited as: "Committed to improving the state of the world by engaging business, political, academic, and other leaders of society to shape global, regional, and industry agendas".

The WEF hosts an annual meeting at the end of January in Davos, a mountain resort in the eastern Alps region of Switzerland.
