Aberlink to support the National Skills Competition in Korea

Aberlink, the UK manufacturer of coordinate measuring machines, has been selected as the preferred metrology supplier to support the 54^th National Skills Competition for 2019 in Busan, South Korea.

Covering seven distinct industries and 50 occupations such as polymechanics, mechanical design, prototype modelling, industrial robotics, CAD and CNC milling, the overall winner of the competition is awarded a generous cash prize.

More importantly, the winner is given the opportunity to participate in the annual World Skills Olympics in 2020 which aims to give recognition of skilled people and highlight how important skills are in achieving economic growth on a global stage.

Aberlink, through its South Korean distributor, KM Trading, is to supply three leading-edge, high-accuracy Axiom too CNC CMMs complete with fully automated probe heads and the Aberlink 3D measurement software, to allow participants to carry out precision measurements on products they produce during the competition.

KM Trading’s team of skilled metrology professionals and engineers will be on hand during the event to assist in the control and management of the Aberlink CMMs to ensure participants receive quick, accurate measurement results and hopefully putting them on a path to victory.
