Advancing to a perfect ten

Advanced Engineering 2018, one of the UK’s largest exhibitions for advanced engineering professionals, is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year.

Organiser Easyfairs says it will be marking the milestone with the biggest and best show ever at the NEC, Birmingham held on October 31st and November 1st. Major developments this year include a new Nuclear Engineering Zone, backed by the National Skills Academy of Nuclear Manufacturing, and EDF Nuclear Engineering. As well as featuring industry stakeholders the zone will provide a high-level conference addressing key issues and requirements for new-build and developing business in the nuclear supply chain.

Another new development is the UK Contract Manufacturing zone. A dedicated area where UK subcontractors can showcase their products and services.

More than 600 exhibitors are expected to attend the two-day show. Other show zones include: Aero Engineering, Composites Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Performance Metals and Connected Manufacturing.

In addition, the Enabling Innovation showcase will provide an opportunity for 50 start-ups and researchers to showcase the next generation of exciting new technologies.

The show will also focus on many aspects of automation and the factory of the future with input from the AMRC’s Factory 2050 team and the BARA robotics association. There will also numerous opportunities to network and arrange business to business meetings.

Alison Willis, industrial divisional director at Easyfairs commented: “We had great momentum from companies re-booking from last year and that has continued. We are already more than 76% booked up with exhibitors, and the floorplan and conference content are shaping up nicely. The show has grown year on year so this year we are especially delighted to celebrate its 10th birthday.

“To take full advantage of the all the pre-show marketing opportunities that we offer as part of our sales package, now is the time to book your stand and get on the radar of the important buyers and decision makers that will be attending the show,” she added.

“We carry out extensive surveys to try and understand what our exhibitors and visitors want from the show, so it becomes a compelling must attend event for our manufacturing community. The 10th anniversary is a great time to join in with the celebrations.”
