Agency award for Cutwel

Cutwel has been awarded the UK agency for Karnasch Professional Tools, specialists in top specification tooling for composite, plastics and aluminium machining.

Karnasch tooling is manufactured in Switzerland and the company is one of Europe's leading special composite tooling manufacturers specialising in aviation and astronautics, automotive, autosport and tool and mould making.

Karnasch composite tooling is available in PCD but also CVD diamond which offers longer tool life, higher performance and sharper cutting compared to PCD. All milling tools are laser cut to achieve a high quality cutting edge and accurate tolerances. The tooling is said to be particularly suitable for aerospace materials such as CFK, GFC, PEEK, acrylic, plastic composites, honeycomb and titanium. Karnasch also offers a full specials and regrinding service.

Cutwel will launch a new Karnasch composite, plastic and aluminium tooling catalogue in March 2011.
