Anca will be demonstrating its new linear motor CNC tool and cutter grinders at IMTS 2016 in North hall, Stand 7414.
Visitors will be given a preview of Anca's all-new tool grinder, TX7 Linear. The FX3 Linear and FX5 Linear machines will be on show, as will the higher capacity MX7 Linear tool grinder. The premier tool grinder in the Anca range, the TXcell, will also be on the stand along with the EDGe erosion and tool grinding machine.
Building upon the TX7+, the TX7 Linear has been updated with Anca's latest innovative developments to meet the ever increasing demands of precision CNC tool grinding. The newest addition to the portfolio incorporates a number of new technologies including the LinX linear motors and a new user control panel with a touchscreen monitor and tilt adjust to suit any operator height. The TX7 Linear will be performing dry grinding of automated end mill production with the LaserPlus.
A simulated grind of punches and tools will be demonstrated on the MX7 Linear, using the integration of RFID technology on the RoboMate loader. Using RFID gives greater flexibility, reduced set-up times and is recommended for companies looking for process improvements on their Anca machine. Other accessories on the machine include the MicroPlus workholding and tool support system.
The TXcell will be featuring the LaserPlus in-process measurement feature. There will also be simulated grinding of profile and long tools, and the associated machine accessories to facilitate this.
The EDGe will be demonstrating the erosion of various PCD tools, as well as the iView and FastLoad automation system.
Loading and unloading of tools will be performed on the FX5 Linear. The new Nachi robot tool loader will be displayed on the machine for the first time, providing customers with an alternative to the high volume Fanuc loader on the FX5 Linear & FX7 Linear. Accessories shown on the FX5 Linear include the LaserPlus, Auto-Stick and wheel probe for auto wheel qualification.
The FX3 Linear will be live grinding and demonstrating the regrinding process of various endmills and drills. The machine will be fitted with the iView tool measuring system.
One of the major features of the FX Linear and MX Linear ranges are the Anca designed LinX linear motors - said to provide advantages over the flat bed style. Their design is fully sealed to IP67 and with no mechanical moving parts, there is no loss of machine accuracy over time due to wear. The elimination of downforces on the rails reduces cogging and wear which enables good tool accuracy and surface finish. To help understand the LinX technology there will be a demonstration rig that shows the motors’ design and features not easily seen when on the machine.
Anca software application specialists will give visitors the opportunity to try the ToolRoom 2016 software release, which includes new features and enhancements that boost productivity and improve usability. There will also be demonstrations on the latest ToolDraft and CIM3D 3D simulation software releases.
