At IMTS 2018, besides showcasing its latest technology, ANCA is set to celebrate the art of tool making.

The company said: “The perfect tool requires a combination of art and engineering. Customers have cultivated and refined their craft over the years to design beautiful tools and applied engineering to achieve a sub-micron surface finish and enhanced cutting performance.”

Pat McCluskey, joint co-founder at ANCA added: “In over 40 years working in the tool and cutter grinding industry, I have been inspired by our customers’ expertise and passion for grinding tools. In recognising their craft, our team at ANCA have dedicated themselves to designing even better technology solutions so that our industry can continue to evolve.

“This year we will be showcasing an impressive range of technology at the show, including a brand-new machine that has not yet been previewed by the market. As the only manufacturer who has the linear motor on every version of our grinding machines, visit us to find out why our customers love our linear motor technology that ensures rigidity to deliver a surface finish roughness average as low as 0.16 Ra.”

IMTS 2018 will be the first preview of the latest addition to ANCA’s machine range. The AR300 tool loader has been designed in response to customer requests to provide a full range of products to meet all grinding requirements. Complementing the FX, MX and TX range, the company thinks the brand-new machine is sure to get the market talking.

According to research by the International Federation of Robotics, in 2015 the number of industrial robots increased 15%, and growth will continue by double-digit percentages through to 2019 and over 50% of all ANCA machines sold have an automated loader.

Visit ANCA’s stand to see the AR300 loader in action on an FX5 Linear. It will be demonstrating a dry-cycle tool regrind demo, allowing attendees to see up-close the tool load/unload capabilities of the loader. Together, the AR300 loader coupled with the FX5 Linear, offers increased productivity and exceptional value for money.

ANCA’s Industry 4.0 software solution is ToolRoom, focused on manufacturing the most complex tool geometries of the future with the perfect balance and showcasing the industry 4.0 solution for tomorrow’s smart factories

New at the show is the endmill cycles for ballnose and corner radius, tool balancing and next generation fluting cycles. Launched earlier this year, ANCA’s new Management Suite, either on the premise or cloud is a game changer for the CNC grinding industry. It provides customers the technology to monitor the performance of their machines no matter where they are in the world. The new software also enables companies to run smart factories by providing live production information to make data-based decisions on operational improvements.

Attendees can see the latest version of ToolDraft too, which can create tool and wheel pack drawings within minutes. The CIM3D V8.2 will show how you can get the right balance for variable helix or variable index tools for high speed machining.
