The Carfulan Group has announced the line-up of its technologies as it prepares to exhibit at Southern Manufacturing 2019.

The Derbyshire firm, recently appointed the first worldwide partner of metal and ceramic additive manufacturing expert XJet, specialises in multi-sensor metrology, turned-part measurement, 3D printing and tool pre-setting and inspection, helping UK businesses improve production processes and achieve end-product excellence.

From 5-7 February, at the new Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre, the group’s engineers will be at Southern Manufacturing and Electronics, a showcase of new technology in machinery, production equipment, electronic production and assembly, tooling and components.

Visitors can discover the solutions offered by the Carfulan Group, which in December 2018 welcomed more than 140 professionals keen to do just that at its inaugural and hugely successful Manufacturing Performance Network event.

Carfulan Group managing director Chris Fulton said: “2018 was one of the busiest and most successful years in our history, with new product launches, a new company added to the portfolio and culminating in the biggest open house we have ever held.

“Because we represent four companies with exclusivity in the UK, we are able to provide innovative, front-to-back manufacturing solutions to the market in a way that no-one else can, with the emphasis on always exceeding customer expectations.

“We look forward to reaching out to a new audience at Southern Manufacturing, where we’ll demonstrate exactly how our technologies are helping UK businesses to meet a growing demand for top-quality products.”

At Southern Manufacturing will be OGP UK, SYS Systems, Zoller UK, Vicivision UK and XJ3D.

OGP UK supplies multi-sensor metrology systems which can gauge the characteristics of even the most complex parts quickly and without human error, leading to better quality, reduced scrap and allowing products to be brought into the marketplace faster.

It will be displaying its flagship Vantage 300 at the show – a machine renowned globally for making reliable data collection available in real time, giving manufacturers a competitive edge.

As a UK Stratasys platinum partner, SYS Systems has been at the forefront of the 3D-printing movement for more than a decade, supplying, installing and supporting the full Stratasys product range.

It will be bringing along a printer from its F-Series to Southern Manufacturing, a machine combining powerful Fused Deposition Modelling (FDM) technology with intuitive GrabCAD design-to-print software to provide the most versatile and intelligent rapid prototyping solution available.

Zoller UK, meanwhile, is a specialist in intuitive tool pre-setting, inspection and management solutions, helping businesses to ensure tools are of the right quality to create accurate and conforming parts prior to machining. This not only reduces down time but also extends tool life and eliminates scrap.

Its modular but robust Venturion 450, a high-end offline tool pre-setter, offers enhanced performance in every CNC production environment, leading to both increased productivity and significant time and cost savings.

Vicivision UK will demo an M306, a high-performance optical and non-contact measuring machine for cylindrical parts such as shafts, valves, screws and threaded inserts, while staff from XJ3D – the UK representative of XJet and Carfulan’s newest company - will be available to speak to.

The Carfulan Group will occupy stands G190, G195, F190 and F195 at the Farnborough-based exhibition.
