Industry 4.0 creates what many call a ‘Smart Factory’ where computer software systems monitor physical processes, such as CNC machines, robots or assembly lines and present real-time information to users and other systems to facilitate fact-based decisions and actions. Often these actions themselves are automated, requiring little or no human intervention.
