Competitive edge

Roemheld's MACH stand will be split into sectors to offer market-driven examples of how workholding can increase competitiveness and maximise existing investment.

The Roemheld stand will be split into sectors to offer market-driven examples of how workholding can increase competitiveness and maximise existing investment. The sectors will cover the areas of automotive, aerospace, medical, energy and general manufacturing, plus a dedicated fixture builder area. The overall emphasis will be on increasing production efficiency through proven technology and innovation, thus ensuring that any investment is spent wisely. Roemheld will also be supplying demonstration products so the end user can ‘try before they buy', ensuring any workholding investment will meet their needs. As for products on show, the company will be promoting its 5-axis vice range, which enables gripping on just 3mm, reducing raw material costs. In addition, its Zero Point systems, which offer rapid and repeatable changeovers will be present. End users will also be able to see examples of the latest hydraulic fixtures and elements. Bill Neal, managing director of Roemheld, said: “Manufacturing in the UK needs to take a fresh look at how to compete in world markets and win new contracts. We would like to invite end users to come to the stand to see for themselves how our effective workholding solutions hold the key to many of the questions being posed to production engineers.” Roemheld personnel will also be on hand to discuss individual applications and talk through application of the technology within visitors' companies. Free of charge demonstration products will also be available. Roemheld will also be holding a seminar on Thursday 10th June at 2pm on the subject of future proofing workholding investments. This will consider how delegates can protect their investments by discussing planning strategies and best practice as well as revealing a major step forward in reducing raw material costs. Roemheld
