Contechs announces expansion plans

Fast-growing, UK-based automotive design and engineering consultancy Contechs, has unveiled plans to build new design offices and create more than 125 new jobs as its global business booms.

The company plans to build a new two-storey design office next to Grand Union House - the company's global headquarters in Budbrooke Road, Warwick. It is also recruiting more than 125 designers and design engineers, which will bring its headcount to nearly 1,000.

The new investment will further enhance the services Contechs provides to its OEM clients worldwide, which include some of the major prestige automotive manufacturers.

The new building, next to the Grand Union Canal, will provide almost 2,800ft² of office space, with meeting rooms and associated facilities.

Contechs group managing director Peter Jarvis said the investment in premises and people would enhance the company's services to its growing global portfolio of vehicle makers.

He commented: "This has been a period of impressive growth for Contechs across the world, which has allowed us once again to increase our expanding highly-skilled workforce and invest in our site in Warwick. This investment will further strengthen our market leading position in this competitive sector."

With bases in Warwick, Basildon, Cologne and Chennai and almost 1,000 employees, Contechs is a world-leading provider of specialist vehicle design and engineering services, working with the most prestigious international manufacturers and suppliers.

Its experts use advanced design and engineering tools to develop next generation vehicle platforms and modules as the world moves towards hybrid, electric and alternative fuel technologies.

In addition, Contechs has a well-respected and established recruitment division which sources the highest calibre talent to provide clients with fully-managed teams, permanent staff and contract support.
