A team of cyclists from Cheltenham-based Spirax Sarco has successfully completed the challenging London to Paris cycles race and, in the process, raised over £13,500 for the National Star College.

Helping the team on its way was WNT (UK), which supported the cause with a significant contribution any many words of encouragement. The journey covered over 500km of demanding cycling over three days, with the team returning to the UK on day four tired but in good spirits, as one of the Spirax Sarco team, John Jones, confirmed: “The training paid off ,” he recalled, “and we all got safely to Paris, and were fit enough to enjoy a relatively fast ride. My thanks go to WNT who made a major contribution to my fundraising target and, as a result, I will be contributing over £2,000 to the grand total raised by the team, making it a very successful event for the National Star College.”

“Congratulations to all the team involved in the fantastic effort of reaching Paris and raising a significant amount of money for a very worthwhile cause,” added Tony Pennington, Managing director WNT (UK).
