Bowers Group, a leader in precision measurement and the supply of metrology instruments, has announced that David Smith has joined the Bowers Group sales team as UK key account manager and India country manager.

Bowers Group, a leader in precision measurement and the supply of metrology instruments, has announced that David Smith has joined its sales team as UK key account manager and India country manager.

Mr Smith will be responsible for developing a range of UK key accounts working alongside Bowers Group’s area sales managers and the UK sales team as well as developing sales with current and future partners in India.

Commenting on his appointment, he said: “I am delighted to have the opportunity to move Bowers Group’s forward in both the UK and India, which has been identified as an important growth export market for the business.”

Mr Smith has extensive sales experience within the metrology industry, with his most recent employment with Nikon Metrology UK as territory sales manager, developing business and account management of metrology equipment overseas.

Bowers Group UK sales manager Martin Hawkins added: “We are very pleased to welcome David to the company and wish him every success in his new role. Along with his very enthusiastic, energetic and professional approach, David will be a valuable addition to the Bowers Group in this key position.”
