EuroBLECH 2022 will be returning to the Hannover Exhibition Grounds

Like many trade shows this year EuroBLECH, Europe’s largest event specifically dedicated to the sheetmetal industry, will be making its first live return after an enforced absence due to the COVID pandemic. PES discovers what visitors can expect to see at the Hannover Exhibition Ground in Germany.

After four years, the sheetmetal working community is eagerly awaiting the return of its leading event and meeting place for the industry, EuroBLECH 2022.

Now in its 26th incarnation, the international sheetmetal working technology exhibition takes place from 25-28 October. Around 1,300 exhibitors from 39 countries have already secured their stand space displaying the industry’s latest innovations. Currently, the major exhibitor countries are Germany, Italy, Turkey, China, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Spain, Belgium, Poland, Austria, Portugal and the USA and exhibiting companies have already secured a net exhibition space of 88,600m².

The show attracts attendees from the wide array of industries utilising sheetmetal in their production including, automotive, aerospace, shipbuilding, heating, electronics and mechanical engineering.

“There is a genuine sense of relief and excitement within the industry about the event this year, as it’s been four years since our last live show so EuroBLECH 2022 is widely perceived as a much-needed technological update for the entire sheetmetal processing sector, explains Evelyn Warwick, event director of EuroBLECH, on behalf of the organiser Mack-Brooks Exhibitions.

“A lot of innovations have been developed in the past few years, with a focus on cost and resource efficiency. While digitalisation and Industry 4.0 used to be topics only large companies were realising at the previous EuroBLECH, these key drivers have now reached the factories of small and medium-sized companies too.

“Exhibitors at this year’s event will present everything they have on offer to innovate and digitalise the manufacturing process along the entire sheetmetal working technology and supply chain. All these developments are reflected in this year’s motto for EuroBLECH, ‘Your gateway to a smarter future’.”

EuroBLECH is a leading meeting place for design engineers, production managers, quality managers, buyers, manufacturers, technical directors and experts from associations and R&D stakeholders in order to discover the latest trends and machinery in sheetmetal working. Visitors can expect the complete spectrum of intelligent solutions and innovative machinery for modern production, presented in the form of numerous live demonstrations on the exhibition stands.

Covering the bases

The show’s exhibition profile covers 15 technology sectors: machine tools, sheetmetal, semi-finished and finished products, handling, separation, forming, flexible sheetmetal working, tube/section processing, joining, welding, forming, additive manufacturing, surface treatment, processing of hybrid structures, tools, quality control, IT solutions, CAD/CAM/CIM systems, factory and warehouse equipment, and R&D.

“Many of our visitors will be looking for automated, digital and scalable solutions to facilitate the cost-efficient and sustainable production of industrial components and consumer parts,” explains Ms Warwick. “At EuroBLECH, they enjoy direct access to a broad spectrum of tech suppliers. This will allow them to explore and invest in the best tools, machines and materials for all their sheetmetal processing needs. The event will offer everyone in the community the opportunity to come together and see what the future of the sector looks like.”

Online interaction

The exhibitor list, available on the EuroBLECH website, is regularly updated and provides plenty of information on exhibiting companies such as exhibitor profiles, company videos and contact details.
