Familiar face takes the helm at Hexagon UK

A familiar face has returned to take charge of Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence's operations in the UK.

David Brown has moved to head up the Telford-based metrology solutions business after a spell as a senior manager for Hexagon in Northern Europe. His re-appointment coincides with the creation of a new management team to spearhead the company's ambitious growth plans.

The experienced team comprises John Drover (UK & Ireland - new machine sales), Angus Fielden (key account and partner development), Mark Wilding (UK operations), Sam O’Prey (aftermarket sales), Katherine Turrell (planning and logistics), Jim Craig (service), Greg Holdsworth (software applications), Patricia Nemeth (HR), and Oliver Campbell and Alison Cox (finance).

Mr Brown, whose time at Hexagon spans 27 years commented: "Since transformation and ambition are in our DNA, our aim is to become even more efficient in our operations and provide greater levels of customer communication and support. In the coming months, we’re also looking to invest in people in order to boost our expansion.

“Another cornerstone of the UK business model which supports our market ambitions, is the principle of building strong, local support partnerships, networks and collaborations where possible and appropriate,” he added.

“I also like to think we’re underpinning the next, fast approaching, smart manufacturing evolution by working with our customers to improve productivity by embedding quality throughout the product lifecycle."

Hexagon will be showcasing its latest technologies and solutions at HxGN Live which will be held in Las Vegas, NV, from June 12-15. Delegates can register online for the event at https://hxgnlive.com/2018/registration
