A bigger field of view

The Garant MM1 measuring microscope has been well established in the market for 13 years and has been repeatedly enhanced since it was launched.

Now, the Hoffmann Group has updated this tried-and-tested device once again. The new version of the Garant MM1 combines a 6.4-megapixel camera with a new optical lens, enabling a field of view that is up to ten times larger than the predecessor model, all while offering the same precision.

A new Intel i7 processor ensures that the images are sharp and relayed to the screen quickly, further boosting productivity. In terms of its appearance, a new hood made from anodised aluminium lends the new measuring microscope a premium look while underlining its particular capabilities.

The Garant MM1 has a field of view that is up to ten times larger

The Garant MM1 has been thoroughly enhanced compared with the predecessor model. The field of view on the version with a motorised zoom lens is five times larger, and it is ten times larger on the version with a fixed lens. In stitching mode, when several images are stitched together to form one overall image, this allows for a correspondingly large measurement field. As a result, even overhanging components can be measured quickly and precisely, saving valuable time.

Additionally, to enable automated measurement of relatively large components, the stitching mode has been supplemented by the Follow Contour function. If the measuring table has CNC, this means the system is able to record the contours step by step, even if the components are completely unknown to the system.

The CNC can thus be used even more effectively for taking individual measurements of relatively large components and for inputting new measurement programs. A new learning function allows contours to be recognised reliably, even under adverse lighting conditions.

The MM1 measuring microscope is optionally available with a fixed lens, grid raster zoom or motorised zoom and is equipped as standard with a manually adjustable measuring table.

Customers also have the option to obtain the device with a CNC measuring table and a tactile probe. All versions of the new measuring microscope are available from the 2019/2020 Hoffmann Group catalogue and e-shop.
