At the beginning of March, the cabinet impressed the judging panel of the iF Design Award and in April, it received the prestigious Red Dot Award for its high-quality design and functionality. The roller cabinet received the accolade in the tooling category. Competitors from 59 countries took part in the competition with a total of some 6,300 items.
The Garant ToolCar is one of the first products released in the new Garant GridLine series from the Hoffmann Group and was recently introduced in the UK at MACH 2018.
The unit is aesthetically designed and features impressive ergonomics and convenience. Its side compartment is centrally lockable and includes a perforated panel to which Garant Easyfix brackets and tool hooks can be attached.
A power supply unit can also be accommodated in the side compartment. This can provide power for operating power tools and lighting. An ergonomically shaped push handle and sturdy low-noise wheels make the ToolCar easy to move around, even on uneven floors.
The 40-strong panel assessed the products according to strict criteria, including degree of innovation, functionality, formal quality, ergonomics and durability.
