This year's show will once again deliver a wide-ranging programme of sessions that will be of interest to anyone involved in engineering or manufacturing enterprise.
This year's seminar programme encompasses discussions on technical developments, business management, marketing and the latest industrial legislation.
In his session, ‘Rapid Manufacturing in the Future', Graham Tromans from the Rapid Manufacturing Research Group at Loughborough University will assess the impact of the latest Rapid Prototyping and Rapid Tooling techniques on future manufacturing.
Mark Schaffer from the Manufacturing Advisory Service - South East (MAS-SE) will examine the topic of Value Stream Mapping – how to map processes to streamline manufacturing, cut leadtimes, reduce cost and improve quality.
'Collaborate to win more business' presented by Clive Lewis of Achieving The Difference will look at why an increasing number of prime and tier 1 customers are awarding business to suppliers working collaboratively, plus practical advice on developing collaborations of your own.
In 'Secrets of Low Cost Marketing', Chris Needham from MAS-SE will examine how manufacturing businesses can extract maximum value from even the most modest marketing budgets. Alan Powell from the CE Marking Association will look at the latest legislation and how to minimise the costs of compliance in his session 'CE Marking: An Update to Legislative Requirements'.
Other topics covered over a busy two days will include Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing, Building Competitive Advantage, Supply Chain and SC21 and How to Succeed at New Product Development.
