GM CNC expands marketing team

Unprecedented growth at GM CNC has now seen the Oldham-based machine tool specialist expand its team with two new recruits.

The two new marketing appointments will see the company further build brand awareness, social media interaction and provide support to the sales and service teams.

Since being appointed the UK exclusive distributor for the Victor CNC brand of machine tools, GM CNC has witnessed significant growth resulting in considerable investment being committed to a factory expansion, new staff and infrastructure.

The arrival of Jake Riley and Reece Mundy will see the new staff members work across GM CNC and sister company GM Machinery, building communication platforms with customers and potential customers to inform the manufacturing industry about products, offers, services, live machine tool auctions and events.

Since completing a Master’s degree, Jake Riley has worked at an IT business as well as a digital marketing company creating awareness, revenue growth and marketing direction for clients. This experience has provided businesses with online evaluation and strategies for growth that include SEO, social media, online presence and e-commerce, online advertising and email marketing.

Reece Mundy has extensive marketing experience, working in digital marketing roles for more than five years in both the public and private sector. He has a proven track record in managing social media accounts and providing social media training as well as designing and managing promotional media.

Commenting on the new appointments, GM CNC director Nicola Howard said: “GM CNC is on a transformational journey where we are growing at a remarkable rate. We are employing and growing a great team, and with the commencement of our new facility being built, we are also creating the infrastructure to provide industry-leading service, support and spares to complement our extensive range of machine tools.

“By appointing two marketing executives with extensive digital experience, we will enhance our communication and promotion with both existing and potential new customers. Digital marketing communication is an industry within itself and whilst most companies believe they are proficient because they have LinkedIn or Facebook accounts, this route to market is vitally important to communicate with existing clients as well as potential customers.”
