Running from April 25-29, the show will feature five parallel trade fairs: Industrial Automation, Digital Factory, Energy, Industrial Supply, and Research & Technology.
As part of the ‘Digital Factory’ trade fair, representing integrated processes and IT solutions Proto Labs will be presenting a full suite of automated services comprising 3D printing, CNC machining and injection moulding that make the company a leader in digital manufacturing.
John Tumelty, Proto Labs’ managing director stated: “Manufacturing is undergoing a digital revolution, as reflected in one of the show’s key themes of automation and IT. We firmly consider that our advanced manufacturing practices make Proto Labs a leader in this revolution.”
US President Barack Obama joins German Chancellor Angela Merkel to open this year’s event as the USA makes its debut as a Partner Country – an acknowledgment of Germany’s and, more widely, Europe’s position as a centre of manufacturing.
Reflecting this acknowledgment, US-headquartered Proto Labs continues to expand into Europe, most recently with the acquisition of one manufacturing facility in Finland and two locations in Germany.
Proto Labs will be on stand B34 in hall 7.
