German machine tool company, Grob, is hosting its first UK open house event at its Stratford Upon Avon facility.

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about its machines, automation solutions and its expertise in Industry 4.0.

Grob has never had a showroom in the UK, but that has now changed with this new facility. Until then, customers can get up close and personal with the company’s entire machine tool range, software, and automation systems at its headquarters in Mindelheim, Germany.

This two-day event, from 15-16 November, allows Grob to showcase 5-axis technologies including G150 with GRC-R12 robot cell, G350 and G550T (mill turn).

Grob’s 5-axis universal machining centres, including the G150, G350, G550, provide transformative capabilities for milling parts made of diverse materials.

Due to its compact size and impressive specification, the G150 5-axis horizontal machining centre from Grob has been developed with the medical sector in mind.

Thanks to extensive configuration options, Grob machining centres can be ideally matched to your requirements. Whether aerospace, mechanical engineering, die and mould industries, automotive, medical or energy technology, the company’s 5-axis universal machining centres cover a broad range of possible applications and provide the optimum solution for just about any material.

The universal machining centres are designed for automation solutions and, depending on the customer's requirement, are also available as mill-turn machines in sizes G350T, G550T and G750T.

Grob will be presenting its small GRC-R12 robot cell in conjunction with the G150 5-axis universal machining centre at the open house. It represents a complete solution developed under one roof, which impresses with a uniform design and coordinated interfaces. The compact design of the GRC-R12 robot cell on one platform allows easy transport and fast commissioning

The event will also feature technical partners covering workholding, tooling, CAD/CAM, metrology and automation.
