Sandvik Coromant has launched its new Technical Guide 2010.

Sandvik Coromant has launched its new Technical Guide 2010 – a publication that provides customers with all the information required to successfully select and apply cutting tools and tooling systems with the application and workpiece material in mind.

The Technical Guide is totally re-worked with a new ‘easy-to-find' structure, over a thousand new illustrations and the latest information about machining methods and products. Replacing the previous Metalcutting Technical Guide, the guide provides concise information for trouble-free and productive machining using Sandvik Coromant products.
The document has been translated into 19 different languages. Although it is available as an 800 page printed catalogue or if preferred a DVD version containing over 90 informative animations and videos can be ordered from local Sandvik Coromant customer service teams. Alternatively, an electronic PDF format of the guide will be available shortly for download from the company's website.

The guide includes: technical information about new Sandvik Coromant products, including those launched in CoroPak 09.2; information on how to choose the optimum machining method and tools for different applications; details on cutting tool and workpiece materials; a troubleshooting reference guide; and a frequently asked questions (FAQ) register.

Featuring a logical, user friendly structure, the new Technical Guide includes dedicated sections on general turning, parting and grooving, threading, milling, drilling, boring and toolholding.
