The Haimer Group, a global specialist in shrinking and balancing technology, has produced its new i4.0 series of shrinking machines.

In addition to the established machines of the Basic, Profi and Premium series, Haimer will now add three new machines to the portfolio. The Power Clamp Premium i4.0, Sprint i4.0 and Comfort i4.0.

As their names suggest, these additions are all Industry 4.0 ready and network-compatible. Furthermore, the devices, first seen at EMO last year, are equipped with a workshop friendly 7-inch touch display and new intuitive software, which makes machine operation with or without gloves even easier.

Upon request, the Power Clamp i4.0 devices can also be equipped with a scanner that is able to read the shrinking parameters of Data-Matrix codes. This way automated shrinking is easier than ever before.

The new and ergonomic shrinking stations have a modern and high-quality design. Due to their patented NG coil they are suitable for both solid carbide and HSS tools with diameters from 3 to 32mm.

The Power Clamp Sprint i4.0 is a completely new product. Cooling by air and spray mist provides gentle and clean cooling of all shrink fit chucks and collets regardless of their outer contour. Dirt and water residues are successfully avoided. Furthermore, an integrated temperature control system ensures an optimised and safe cooling process. The Power Clamp Sprint i4.0 can be optionally equipped with a length presetting device.

The Power Clamp Premium i4.0 is replacing the previous high-end model. A special feature of the Premium unit is its automated cooling position indicator for the existing five cooling stations. With this system contact cooling becomes even easier, faster and completely safe.

Haimer has also further upgraded its successful Power Clamp Comfort model with the brand-new touch display. Even more comfortable to use with its new software, the Power Clamp Comfort i4.0 model offers the same integrated contact cooling with temperature control system as its predecessor. And the rotary table with three stations enables fast shrinking and cooling of several tools.
