Head on over to Heckmondwike

600 UK will host an open house at its Heckmondwike, West Yorkshire headquarters from 11-13 June 2013.

600 UK will showcase its entire range of advanced CNC turning centres, manual/CNC teach lathes and manual centre lathes at an open house event for UK customers, worldwide distributors and other engineering specialists at its Heckmondwike, West Yorkshire headquarters from 11-13 June 2013.

Among the machines on show will be Colchester's new 2- and 3-axis Tornado CNC turning centres, Harrison's Alpha X series combination lathes, as well as Colchester and Harrison's renowned conventional centre lathe range.

Visitors will also be able to see a range of products from other 600 Group brands: advanced workholding products and machine tool components from Pratt Burnerd International – including the new Gripfast Power Chuck; taper roller bearings from Gamet Bearings; plus advanced laser marking systems from Electrox.

The 3-axis Tornado T2M, the newest member of the Tornado CNC turning centre range is designed to handle small complex parts and will be unveiled at the three day open house along with the Alpha XS manual/CNC lathe with versions that can now accommodate up to 6m bed lengths and incorporate C-axis capability for handling larger, more complex, components. 600 Finance will also present a series of flexible finance packages for customers in the UK.

The newly re-organised site houses dedicated manufacturing cells for all products along with a customer showroom for 600 UK products. This is complemented by new offices for all 600 UK sales, support and head office staff.

“Our open house event marks the first opportunity for 600 UK customers to see our new Heckmondwike-based manufacturing and showroom facilities, where we have focused our machine tool business and further expanded machine tool, spares, accessories and component manufacturing,” said 600 UK general manager Mike Berry.
