Automation-capable non-contact measurement technology

Designed for use with a 6DoF Leica Absolute Tracker AT960 system, the AS1 from Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence has high-speed measurement functionality, with measurement speeds at up to 1.2 million points per second and 300 lines per second.

Thanks to the accuracy of the Absolute Tracker, the AS1 can maintain robot-independent accuracy to within just 50 microns throughout a measurement volume up to 60m in diameter. This level of high-speed, high-definition 3D scanning makes the AS1 ideal for measuring small features such as studs and holes or large open surfaces.

Thanks to Hexagon’s patented SHINE technology (Systematic High-Intelligence Noise Elimination), the AS1 carries out automatic exposure control for every measured point, allowing scanning of parts with differing materials or finishes with no user intervention.

The AS1 also features a large standoff distance, reducing collision risk and allowing for easier hidden area measurement. The system’s modular functionality allows for easy swapping of components in case of faults or a need to service or upgrade the system.
