Hurco's UK and Ireland subsidiary will stage its traditional Christmas open house at the High Wycombe headquarters on Tuesday 7th and Wednesday 8th December.

Visitor numbers at the end-of-year event have traditionally been high because, in addition to machines under power cutting metal in the showroom – of which there will be 12 this time – supply partners have been asked to exhibit as well, a feature that was temporarily suspended at the start of the pandemic.

This year there will be 16 specialist stands covering tooling, workholding, CADCAM, metrology, automation, mist extraction, rotary tables, angle heads and machine tool finance. It means that visitors to the event will be able to discuss a wealth of auxiliary items to extract the best from their Hurco machine tools.

Three different configurations of 5-axis vertical machining centre will be on show alongside seven 3-axis models, ranging from the compact, entry-level VM ONE to the high capacity, high speed BX60i with 18,000rpm HSK 63A spindle and 1,300mm Y-axis. Three CNC turning centres and two automation solutions will also be demonstrated.

David Waghorn, managing director of Hurco, commented: "Now is a great time for manufacturers to start planning their next capital investment ahead of the end of the tax year.

"With the UK government's 130% super-deduction capital allowance on plant and machinery still available, there has never been a better opportunity to reduce tax bills.

"There will be no mandatory COVID-19 restrictions at our forthcoming event, just a simple tracker form to complete on arrival. Lunch and refreshments will be provided throughout."

The event will run from 9am – 5pm at Hurco’s headquarters at 12 Merlin Centre, Lancaster Road, Cressex Business Park, HP12 3TB.

Anyone interested in attending is invited to pre-register by visiting the Hurco website.
