In the heart of things

A key element in Rodmatic's presence at the Autosport Engineering and Manufacturing Technology show will be demonstrations of its precision subcontract

assembly and machining capability that has customers in the specialist automotive, automotive, medical, fluid power and marine sectors.

Rodmatic is based in Reading close to the heart of UK's motorsport engineering with the installed capability of providing CAD/CAM and toolmaking as well as prototype, small batch production including ramp-up and ramp-down, spares manufacture and assembly, right through to continuous production to its customer base.

Installed at the 30,000ft² facility in Reading are 50 machine tools including CNC sliding headstock, sliding head and fixed head turn/mill centres, wire EDM, programmable cleaning and 38 multi-spindle automatic lathes. Altogether over 500,000 components leave the factory for customers each week.

Central to Rodmatic's capability is its willingness to invest, hold stock for customers and also source specialist services such as heat treatment, grinding, surface finishing and standard components such as electrical and electronic items to support its assembly operation.

As part of the exhibition stand visitors will be invited to take part in the ‘Rodmatic Challenge'.
