Industrial Tooling Corporation (ITC) has employed a new technical sales engineer to support the demands of its customer base in the South and South West of the UK.

In the last two years, ITC has significantly increased its sales of Widia indexable cutting tools and the appointment of Matt White will provide dedicated technical support to end users specifying indexable product lines.

The South and South West areas have historically been serviced by Dave Cleeve and Tom Lindley. However, the product portfolio from ITC has grown in the last two years with the Tamworth manufacturer now selling and supporting the Big Kaiser, Widia and Micro 100 brands as well as its own expanding range of high-end UK manufactured cutting tools.

The arrival of Mr White with his specific expertise in Widia indexable products will see the new starter working alongside Mr Cleeve and Mr Lindley to maximise productivity, tool life and cost reductions for end users through the introduction of new indexable tooling solutions.

Peter Graves, ITC's managing director, commented: "The Widia product portfolio is as comprehensive as it is diverse. To ensure our customers are taking full advantage of the extensive range of tools available, we have once again invested in an engineer that has years of indexable tooling experience. More specifically, Matt is very familiar with the Widia brand and the benefits of this prestigious range. We have already applied this model in the Midlands where established technical engineers are now supported by a Widia product specialist.

“This implementation of new product lines and the respective methodologies and machining techniques has brought positive feedback from end-users. As a business, our core aim is customer satisfaction. By enhancing our product portfolio and employing brand specific experts, we are looking forward to 2017 being another positive year of growth for ITC."
