Kyocera SGS Precision Tools Europe visited Wokingham Foodbank recently to present a donation of £1,500, raised by its charity auction of IT Hardware, which was held just before Christmas.

"The whole team at Kyocera SGS was delighted to be able to support this amazing charity with its extremely important and necessary work in the community," commented Kevin Curtis, IT manager at Kyocera SGS. "This is such an important charity in the local area and we really wanted to be able to raise funds to support a service that directly benefits families and individuals in Wokingham.”

Wokingham Foodbank was established 10 years ago and has been providing food parcels and necessities to local people in Wokingham from its location in the Community Hub, Waterford House and by delivering direct to homes.

The foodbank provides a minimum of three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food on a referral basis. The critical support it provides means that those in most need have been able to feed their families and receive help with heating and lighting. The organisation is part of the nationwide Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.

“Donations of food and household items can be made to the Foodbank in many local supermarkets or to find out how you can help, please see their website at https://wokingham.foodbank.org.uk/
