Three new Yamazaki Mazak machines will make their UK debuts at the company’s EMO Encore open house in November.

This includes the much-anticipated VCE-600 and VCN-700 vertical machining centres.

The open house, which is being held at Mazak’s European Technology Centre in Worcester from 2-5 November 2021, will emphasise how customers can deliver more productive, profitable and environmentally-aware manufacturing operations.

A total of 18 machines will be on display, including 12 previously showcased at EMO 2021 in October.

Taking pride of place will be Mazak’s new VCE-600 and VCN-700 machines, following their much-anticipated world debut at EMO. The VCN-700 is a new vertical machining centre that delivers a step-change in performance through dynamic milling techniques, combining high-efficiency CAD/CAM toolpaths and the latest tools to enable constant load milling.

Mazak’s new VCE-600 has been similarly designed to maximise productivity following demand from subcontractors and jobshops for a high-specification entry-level machining centre with a large Y-axis stroke. Also making its UK debut at EMO Encore will be the latest generation of Mazak’s highly successful QTE Series, the QTE-300 MSY SG, which is equipped with SmoothEz, the company’s new easy-to-use MAZATROL CNC developed during the programming language’s 40th anniversary this year.

Automation will be a key theme of the event, with over half the machines at EMO Encore being exhibited with one of seven different integrated automation systems. This includes the latest Multi-Tasking machine tool in the company’s INTEGREX i-H series, the INTEGREX i-250H ST, which has been specifically designed to provide greater accessibility for site automation. Mazak’s market-leading laser processing machine, the OPTIPLEX 3015 FIBER III, will also be featured at the event, alongside the INTEGREX i-200 ST AG, a model developed with gear cutting applications in mind.

Alan Mucklow, managing director UK, Ireland and national distributors at Yamazaki Mazak UK, commented: “EMO Encore is traditionally our opportunity to bring back the best of Milan for a UK audience, and is especially welcome this year with COVID still affecting travel in some capacity. Three outstanding machines will be making their UK debuts at the event, so I would encourage all UK machine users to put the 2nd to the 5th November in their calendar.”
