Yamazaki Mazak has officially opened its new Technology Centre in Hungary, the company’s 14th in Europe, with an international event attended by hundreds of visitors across several days.
The new centre, located in Soskut near Budapest, is not only a support base for local customers but also serves as a strategic base, allowing Yamazaki Mazak to extend the local access to technical support it can provide for nearby markets, such as Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia and Slovenia.
Covering almost 1,800m², the new facility include a 736m² demonstration area, 50 seat learning auditorium, classroom teaching facilities, three meeting rooms and offices.
The new building was officially opened by Takashi Yamazaki, vice president of Yamazaki Mazak Corporation, commenting: “This new centre gives us the facilities for our application and service engineers to provide even better support to our customers in Hungary and the region. It is part of a global programme of investments including new Technology Centres that have been opened in Japan and China this month and a new large factory that we will start constructing this year in Japan.”
