Mills CNC appoints new regional sales engineer to meet growing demand

Mills CNC, distributor of Doosan machine tools in the UK and Ireland, and supplier of Doosan Robotics’ collaborative robots has strengthened its sales operation in the West Midlands and surrounding counties with the appointment of regional sales engineer, Mark Hone.

This is a new position has been created to cope with the increasing demand, from component manufacturers in the area, for high-performance Doosan machine tools supplied by Mills CNC, and to generate new sales leads and enquiries.

Mr Hone joins Mills’ already well-established sales infrastructure and proactive sales management team in the area – headed up by business manager Peter Smith.

“The West Midlands and surrounding area has a high concentration of component manufacturers, ranging from large OEMs and Tier One companies through to smaller precision subcontractors,” Mr Smith commented.

“Mills CNC already has a sizeable customer base in the area, but, judging by the high demand, it could be significantly larger. Mark’s appointment will help us grow sales organically and through acquiring new business.”

It is intended that the new appointment will free-up time for Mr Smith enabling him to develop and grow business with key accounts and to focus more time on more complex and in-depth machine tool sales.

Aged 37, Mark Hone is a seasoned sales professional and has significant experience in selling CNC machine tools, consumables and ancillary equipment, and in developing strong customer relationships.
