The Manufacturing Technologies Association (MTA) has announced Andrew Hodgson, strategic lead – digitalisation, at Siemens has been appointed as vice president of the association.


Mr Hodgson has been a member of the MTA Board for a number of years and also chairs the association’s Technical Committee, which looks at activities in advanced manufacturing technologies, such as additive manufacturing, automation and industry Standards.

As strategic lead for digitalisation, Mr Hodgson incorporates Siemens’ activities in advanced manufacturing technologies, such as additive manufacturing and robotics. He also champions ‘intra-company business’ enabling other Siemens divisions to maximise the opportunities presented in its digital journey.

James Selka, MTA CEO, said “We’re extremely pleased to welcome Andrew Hodgson to the role of vice president of the MTA. Andrew has been a dedicated member of our Board and his level of expertise has been of great benefit to our Technical Committee.
