Visitors to EMO 2017 looking to experience one of the widest assortments of cutting tools should take a tour of the Dormer Pramet stand.

The company has a well-established reputation for providing high quality cutting tools that offer consistent levels of performance and reliability in hole-making, milling, turning and threading applications.

Covering solid to indexable, high speed steel to solid carbide and general purpose to application specific tooling, Dormer Pramet’s ‘Product Zone’ at EMO will feature tools for a variety of industry sectors, including general engineering, heavy industry, automotive and railway.

Each product assortment will be displayed in one of six ISO material-themed showcases, making it easy for visitors to find tools for stainless steel, steel, cast iron, heat resistant super alloys and non-ferrous metals.

EMO 2017 is seen by Dormer Pramet as a strong building block to support future partnerships and establish long-term growth across global markets. This commitment is highlighted by the company’s new Experience Center, XP Center for short, officially opened just days before the start of EMO in early September.

The new facility is a purpose built R&D and training centre at the company’s European manufacturing hub in the Czech Republic.

Stefan Steenstrup, president of Dormer Pramet, says: “Our new XP Centre is a major investment that will allow us to design, produce and test the products which will greatly benefit our customers for many years to come.

“In addition, it promotes a deeper understanding of market requirements which help us to build long-term partnerships with our customers. This is something we passionately believe in, along with sharing our expertise and being honest and available at all times.

“These qualities are deeply rooted in the fabric of our company through our ‘Simply Reliable’ approach. This will be clearly visible around our stand at EMO.”

In addition to the ISO-themed ‘Product Zone’, Dormer Pramet’s stand will feature a ‘Community Zone’ – an area to allow visitors to interact and share their experience through a range of digital and social activities. This includes live streaming, product videos and a slot car racing challenge, where participants can win tickets to the final DTM championships race in Hockenheim.

Finally, its ‘Relax Zone’ provides visitors with a chance to re-charge the batteries by meeting with the Dormer Pramet team over a drink and snack. This area includes a historical display showcasing the evolution of the Dormer logo, the brand used to identify the company’s round tools assortment.

Featuring products and publications from the past 100 years, the display at EMO will mark the official launch of a new Dormer logo. First developed in 1917, the Dormer logo has evolved over the years, becoming a recognized symbol for quality and reliability.

This latest logo design creates a closer connection between the company’s two product brands and further promotes the now widely used and recognized ‘chip symbol’.
