Unison, one of the UK’s leading manufacturer of CNC all electric tube bending systems, has appointed a new head of sales & support to meet the company’s continued global growth, including the opening of a new production and support facility in the USA.

Stuart Calvert, who has more than 15 years’ experience working in sales and export roles with global industrial manufacturers, joins the Scarborough-based company in this new post which sees a dedicated customer service department created to drive further expansion and support global customers.

Mr Calvert said: “I am delighted to be joining Unison in this new role to further develop the global reach and reputation we have achieved for manufacturing the most advanced range of high quality tube manipulation equipment available today.

“Already some 65% of the machines are exported to the USA. Opening this new manufacturing and support facility in Danville, Virginia, will allow us to better serve customers working in sectors ranging from shipbuilding to aerospace.”

He added: “Our all-electric tube bending systems use a fraction of the electricity of a hydraulic system, are accurate, easy to use, clean, quiet in operation, environmentally friendly and feature advanced customer support technology.

“With our sales and support teams working hand in hand, we are able to further improve on our customers’ experience. In practice this means seamless support from the initial enquiry through to ensuring optimum operation of machines once they are installed.
