With over 30 years’ manufacturing and machine tool management experience gained in the UK and overseas, Heath Redman has been appointed by Mills CNC as its new operations manager.

Mills CNC has an extensive aftersales service operation covering everything from machine tool PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection), delivery, installation and commissioning, and customer training - through to machine tool servicing, service and parts provision.

The operations manager position is critical in directing and focusing the company’s aftersales service resources to achieve a seamless transition between the many services provided as well as ensuring that they deliver, individually and collectively, real business benefits to customers.

“Mills has a reputation in the market for best-in-class customer services and aftersales support,” says Kevin Gilbert, Mills CNC’s managing director. “Our large, loyal and growing customer base expect the aftersales services we provide to be at least equal, in terms of quality, innovation, comprehensiveness and cost-competitiveness, to the Doosan machine tools we sell.

“By investing in and improving our customer-focused services, and by making key strategic appointments such as Heath’s, we continue to deliver the best service support in the industry.”

Mr Redman’s previous experience makes him ideally suited to the position. He previously ran his own manufacturing and machine tool companies in South Africa, and has extensive knowledge and experience in the machine tool sector, both home and abroad.

“Mills’ reputation with customers for the integrity, accessibility and comprehensiveness of its aftersales service and support is second to none,” Mr Redman commented. “I’m looking forward to being part of the team and to making a positive contribution that will help strengthen Mills’ service offering still further. I both recognise and share Mills’ passion for, and commitment to, customer care.”
