New recruits for spindle team at Matsuura

Matsuura has expanded its spindle team with the appointments of Stephen Orton, spindle technical support engineer and Simon Parkinson, spindle technician.

Prior to joining Matsuura, Stephen Orton worked as a time-served machine tool fitter and team leader with extensive experience in a production/assembly environment. In his role at Matsuura, he will be responsible for supporting and assisting both the spindle team and customers with their spindle and tooling requirements.

Simon Parkinson’s engineering career history includes eight years as a machine operator for a carbide and abrasive manufacturer and two years in mechanical engineering for a pneumatic service and repair centre. His strong engineering background is an ideal fit for the spindle team.

David Spencer, spindle facility manager at Matsuura commented: “Stephen and Simon are great additions to the team bringing a wealth of experience and knowledge. Our spindle facility with its Class 1000 cleanroom based in Leicestershire provides ‘off the shelf’ service exchange spindles for Matsuura users all over the UK and Europe.

“The appointment of these experienced engineers to our spindle department is key to continuing to offer excellent response times and exceed our customers’ expectations.”
