New technical sales appointment at Wallwork

He will cover the Midlands and South for the company which has sites in Manchester, Birmingham and Cambridge.

Starting his career at Heat Treatment 2000 in 1997, responsible for the continuous mesh belt process, Mr Brinton then moved to TTI Group in 2001. Here he gained detailed knowledge of vacuum hardening and tempering. Within four years he was promoted to TTI’s Birmingham PVD coating department and then on to production management.

Sales manager Howard Maher commented: “He joins us as demand for our advanced hard coatings in the aerospace, automotive and medical sectors continues to grow. Dean will make a valued and significant contribution to new business development and customer service.”

Mr Brinton added: “I am relishing this new challenge. With my 20 years’ experience – from shop floor upwards – I have cultivated a hands-on approach. I will work with customers, new and existing, as their point of contact and will use my technical expertise to help them select the right heat treatment or hard coatings process for their application. A growing and interesting area of business is decorative coatings – all kinds of manufacturers from door furniture to jewellery are exploring the colour options and endurance of hard coatings originally developed for use in aerospace and F1.”
