Provider of portable measurement and imaging systems, Faro will be presenting a wide range of products for applications across the manufacturing industry at MACH, including its most recent development – an updated version of its CAM2 Q software for the company's FaroArm and Laser Tracker products. Also present will be its recently launched Laser Tracker ION which features an increased measurement range, lighter weight, and the Agile Absolute Distance Meter (aADM) measuring system. The FaroArm product line, consisting of Quantum, Platinum, and Fusion will be represented. These flexibly deployable, portable measuring systems for 3D measurements are designed to meet the high accuracy requirements posed by development and production and can measure, digitise, or create a CAD component analysis in production or during assembly. All FaroArm products are available with six or seven axes and with four measuring volumes. For mechanical engineers, the FARO Gage, the company's smallest and most precise measuring arm is available. With a measurement volume of 1.2m it is ideal for adjusting, aligning, measuring and verifying parts and various software packages are available to suit various requirements. The product offering is completed by the FARO Laser Scanner Photon 120/20. Combined with the new FARO Scene 4.6 software, this offers users one of the fastest and longest range phase shift laser scanning solution in the market. “In addition to the top level range of portable CMMs we're able to offer today we will have even more exciting product news at MACH,” promises David Homewood, Faro's area vice-president for the UK. “Our aim is to make people realise how quick and easy measurements can be carried out. Many of our customers used stationary measuring equipment before switching to our portable systems, and their leadtimes are reduced while quality standards are improved by using our systems after just a few weeks.” Faro
