Following a strong year of business for Rocol, the cutting fluid specialist is now recruiting three new metalworking fluid sales engineers.

The news from the Leeds-based industrial lubrication expert is the result of an internal restructuring process that will see the company create dedicated sales teams for specific market segments.

The restructure will create an industrial plant & facilities maintenance team as well as a process lubricant team. The process lubricant team will be dedicated to increasing market penetration in the metal cutting fluid sector.

The three new appointments will strengthen the existing sales team with expert engineers catering for customer requirements from Scotland down to the south coast of England. The three new positions will add to the recent recruitment of an industrial sales engineer and two apprentices that were recruited in September.

Commenting upon the new structure, Rocol’s Alan Rankin, the regional sales manager UK & Ireland, commented: “As a direct result of the increased desk-based work related to the COVID-19 pandemic, we spent time evaluating our sales structure and processes. Following market evaluation and customer interactions, it was acknowledged that we could improve our market position by creating two distinct channels.

“The investment in new team members is a reflection that Rocol believes we are entering into the recovery period in a strong position, ready to grow and be better positioned to realise our opportunities.”

As a business that works across a multitude of industry sectors from general industrial and metalworking to food, aerospace, site safety and MRO, Rocol has performed particularly well throughout the pandemic, demonstrating the resilience and strength of the company’s business model.

Rocol will build upon this robust market position to build upon its service and supply network in the industrial metal cutting fluid industry with the new appointments.
