Machining subcontractor, Rochdale Production Services, is expanding its horizons with a move to bigger and better premises.

After 14 years at its site in Whitworth, Rochdale, the firm is relocating to a larger plant in Rawtenstall, Rossendale, where it will be open for business from 12th April.

As a result of the move, the company has changed its name to RPS Precision Engineering.

Over the years the company has gained a reputation for high quality engineering, with a focus on using the very latest CNC technology to ensure the very highest component standards. The move sees a space increase over threefold, taking the shopfloor from 2200ft2 to 7250ft2, giving scope to increase capacity and invest in more CNC equipment.

Managing director Michael Sirrell commented: “We’ve been watching the new premises being built over the last 12 months and can’t wait to get in. We look forward to providing an enhanced service for our loyal customers and the capacity to welcome even more new customers on board too.”

RPS’s team is expanding too, with the hiring of operations and supply chain manager, Ian Cockcroft.

Mr Cockcroft commented: “With my experience in the supply chain, and the exciting opportunities that the move will bring, I’ll be ensuring RPS continue to satisfy all customers both present and future - and with the very latest in CNC technology there should be no stopping us.”

RPS offers prototyping, 3D modelling and machining, CNC 5 axis milling & CNC turning, TIG welding, fabrication, electronics and pneumatics.
