Safety guaranteed with mandrel collet range from norelem

Designed to hold workpieces in a precise, locked position, norelem’s range of mandrel collets offer secure support for engineers when carrying out turning, milling, polishing, tooth cutting and measurement operations.

The mandrels are tightened with a clamping nut or clamping screw as the diameter of the clamping collar is always concentric to the clamping diameter, ensuring a high level of precision guaranteed in all applications.

Marcus Schneck, CEO of norelem said: “By offering these mandrel collets engineers can secure workpieces in place to finish machine turned parts safely, quickly and accurately.”

norelem’s range of mandrels with side clamps are particularly suited to the secondary processing and rework of turned and milled workpieces with blind holes. The mandrels are manufactured from mild steel due to its weldability and machinability, providing engineers with flexibility when it comes to reshaping components.

The range has mandrels both for drilling through holes and for blind holes with side clamping, in 11 different sizes, from 4.1 to 175mm. Depending on the size and model, norelem mandrels can achieve tightening forces of up to 44.5kN.

Engineers can find the components in norelem’s definitive catalogue, ‘The Big Green Book’. Datasheets and CAD drawings are available online and can be ordered directly through norelem’s web shop.
