The position has been appointed to enhance the market presence of gripping systems and applications in the South West and along the M4 corridor.
Joining the company in May 2018, Mr Holyome will be responsible for supporting customers with a specific interest in gripping systems, robot accessories and pick and place units (PPUs). Mr Holyome brings nearly 40 years’ manufacturing experience to the Schunk team, starting his engineering career as an apprentice toolmaker in the late 1970s.
With a career spanning four decades, his experience includes roles designing, manufacturing and commissioning special purpose and automation machinery, jigs and fixtures, workholding and production tooling equipment.
Mr Holyome has worked in a variety of industry sectors – from F1 and aerospace through to automotive, food processing, packaging and electronics.
