Clamping, gripping and automation specialist Schunk has seen considerable growth over the last two years which has seen the Milton Keynes-based company increase its team with three new area sales managers. With increased sales figures and additional sales engineers, the latest addition to the team is a new product specialist for automation.

Joining the company in June, Graham Simpson has an engineering career that spans over 30 years and includes previous employers such as MAN B&W Diesel, Paxman Engines and Staubli UK. With decades of automation expertise, Mr Simpson has been employed to enhance the technical support that Schunk provides for its end-users. With sales growing, Mr Simpson’s expertise will be deployed to deliver solutions and innovation expertise that will enhance customer experience for end-users in the automation industry.

His arrival will be a boost to the technical support department and it will underpin the company’s commitment to supporting its customer base in the north of the UK.

Schunk’s UK marketing manager Chris Guo said: "We are delighted with the appointment of Graham Simpson. In the weeks that he has been on-board, his expertise and professionalism are being matched by his ability to get to grips with a completely new product portfolio. There is little doubt that Graham's automation expertise coupled with the extensive Schunk product portfolio will deliver significant benefits for end users."
