At MACH 2018, Schunk Intec will be holding a special ceremony on its Stand (H20-180) on Wednesday 11th to celebrate the company’s 20th anniversary in the UK.

Since entering the UK and Irish market 20 years ago, Schunk has earned a reputation as a technology leader, gaining market recognition, growth and adding value to the manufacturing industry through its products and services.

At MACH, many established products that have won plaudits down the years will be on show alongside new technology like the new Vero-S Aviation stationary clamping system. Developed for the direct clamping of structural components in the aerospace industry, the new zero-point clamping system is a pneumatically controlled system that can be easily opened to relieve stress from large parts prior to finish machining. More details on this next-generation technology will be available at MACH.

Schunk’s stand at MACH will be showcasing established products such as the Vero-S Quick Change Pallet System, Tendo Hydraulic Toolholder, PGN-plus Gripper, Magnos Magnetic Clamping Technology and Rota-S Manual Lathe Chuck. Alongside these well-established products, the company will be giving a MACH debut to the new Vero-S NSE3 quick-change pallet technology.

The Vero-S NSE3 138 has pull-down forces of 8,000N or 28,000N with activated turbo function, as well as increased dimensional stability for the module body. This has a positive impact on the rigidity of the clamping solutions.

Also making its debut at MACH 2018 will be the new Co-act (collaborative actuator). Schunk will present its gripping technology program for safe human-robot collaboration at MACH and the Schunk Co-act JL1 gripper, what the company says is the world's first intelligent gripping module for human/robot collaboration will be a central focal point at MACH.

The new Co-act permits adjustments to the gripping process to be made in real-time using diverse sensor systems.

Schunk will be exhibiting on Stand H20-180 in Hall 20, NEC from 9-13th April 2018.
