Seco expands threading offer with Polish acquisition

The Polish company Fabryka Narzedzi (Fanar), a manufacturer of solid round tools, has become part of the cutting tool offering from the Seco Group. Fanar will enhance the Seco product portfolio by offering specialist solid threading cutting tools.  

Fanar will initially operate as an independent company and continue to sell its products under the Fanar brand. While the deal will strengthen the position of Seco and its growth ambitions in the expansive Polish market.

Oskar Edqvist, vice president strategy and product management at Seco, said: “I am very pleased that we now can strengthen our competence and experience within threading products and solutions. The fact that Fanar will become a part of the Seco Family will enhance our presence in the important Polish market and will create a platform to further grow business in the region.”

The product offering from Fanar covers an extensive range of high-performance taps and other threading products as well as solid carbide drills and end mills.
