The biennial event, which is free to attend, is the world's most comprehensive exhibition of NDT, materials testing, condition monitoring and diagnostic technologies. Materials Testing 2019 will feature over 70 exhibitors plus a wide range of seminars and workshops, and will run alongside the NDT 2019 conference. Both events are organised by the British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing (BINDT).
This year's show comes as new technologies are transforming the NDT industry, while changes in the market are driving growth.
Paul Fidgeon, chair of the organising committee, said: "The NDT industry is undergoing a period of transformation. On the one hand tighter safety regulations, smart factories and the use of new materials are driving demand or creating a need for new inspection techniques.
“On the other, new technologies such as big data, predictive analytics, Cloud computing and IoT offer new possibilities and are encouraging uptake of NDT in areas such as food or pharmaceuticals.
"Materials Testing is a global meeting place where manufacturers, engineers and NDT professionals can keep up to date with developments. There has never been a better time to attend."
According to Market Research Future Analysis, the global NDT services market is to grow at a healthy CAGR of 8% during the coming years to reach an estimated value of US$26 billion by the end of 2023.
Materials Testing 2019 is open from 9.30am to 4.30pm on 3-4 September and from 9.30am to 2.30pm on Thursday 5th September at the International Centre in Telford.
