Simon Brooks joins M.A. Ford Europe

Simon Brooks has joined high performance tooling solutions specialist, M.A. Ford Europe as technical sales manager with responsibility for the company’s sales, product applications and technical support in the North West of England.

A qualified engineer with more than 30 years’ experience in aerospace, automotive and tooling, Mr Brooks joins M.A. Ford Europe from Sandvik Coromant where he was a key account project engineer. He also previously held key engineering positions at BAE Systems and Goodrich Actuation Systems, as well as being responsible for the implementation of Toyota’s production system during his seven-year period with Tenneco Automotive.

The role at M.A. Ford encompasses all aspects of the company’s high performance tooling and application engineering, as well as its broader range of integrated manufacturing solutions, which include Rego-Fix powRgrip tool holding, HSM tool path optimisation software and BlueSwarf Dashboard based anti-vibration analysis.

David Ward, MA. Ford Europe’s managing director explained: “We have enjoyed a sustained period of growth in the UK and Europe in recent years, so to ensure it is maintained, we have invested across the business in manufacturing technology, support systems and in high quality people such as Simon.”
