Soraluce hits the big time

From 6-9 March 2018, Soraluce will be hosting an XXL Series open house in Bergara, Spain, where it will showcase a range of heavy-duty milling, boring and vertical turning machines designed for optimum productivity when manufacturing large-scale components.

Represented in the UK by TW Ward CNC, Soraluce will be highlighting the following machines at the event: PM 6000 moving table portal machine; FXR-W 20000 floor type milling boring machine; VTC 8000 vertical turning centre; and the FR 10000 multitasking floor type machine.

The machines on display can be adapted to meet each customer’s specific needs, with customisable tables, heads and machining cycles. A team of Soraluce experts will be on hand to provide professional advice and evaluate customer-specific production and machining processes, providing suggestions for optimisation.

In addition, visitors will be able to see a number of multitasking machines, developed to enhance the profitability of machining technically-complex parts. A single machine offers multiple cutting processes, including turning, milling, boring, drilling and tapping which enables the efficient and precise production of a variety of large scale workpieces – even those weighing hundreds of tonnes.

Soraluce offers a wide range of multitasking capabilities through its turning heads, mill/turn tables and its continued focus on technological developments and customer cycles. The specially designed heads for multitasking milling and turning operations offer increased functionality and efficiency.

The open house will include a series of live demonstrations of heavy-duty milling and boring, and Soraluce’s advanced technologies including: capacity through heavy-duty machining; productivity through its Dynamics Active Stabiliser (DAS) system; easy set-up through Visup 3D; and inherent accuracy via RAM balance.

Part of the Danobat Group, Soraluce began life 55 years ago. It has sold more than 2,800 machines sold (nearly half in the highly-demanding German market) and enjoys a customer retention rate of 80%.
