Success at MACH for specialist manufacturer of grinding and erosion machines, Vollmer, manifested itself with a machine sold from the stand.
The machine – a GPA 200 – is a newly developed stelliting machine that is based on the plasma welding technique and is said to be ideal stelliting band, gang and circular saw blades.
Shown for the first time in the UK, the Loroch Solution K850 and CX100 grinding machines generated healthy enquiry levels and alongside, the CHD270 and Loroch CNBS machines both received high levels of interest from cutting tool manufacturers and sharpening companies. The company also presented a selection of PCD tooling that complemented the capabilities of the Vollmer range of machines.
Vollmer UK managing director, Peter Allen stated: “We had a high number of quality enquiries from the exhibition with potential new customers and existing customers showing significant interest in the new technology we exhibited. Existing customers with projects that had previously been put on hold visited the stand to discuss budgets and we're confident that this will generate business in the forthcoming months.
“From a PCD tooling perspective, the industry is growing rapidly with aerospace, F1 and the medical industries increasingly processing difficult to machine materials that demand PCD tooling. Our ability to process tooling for these sectors was highlighted in our seminar at MACH which was well received.”
